Welcome to our new
GET ON TRACK
driving experience
for Spring 2024!
We always hear that people can't drive their car on track with us because it's too complicated, time-consuming, and/or expensive. Well now we have made it as easy and affordable as possible: GET ON TRACK is just 50 bucks and takes less than 90 minutes. There is literally no cheaper or more simple way than this to GET ON TRACK at Summit Point!
This inaugural event is Saturday March 9th on the classic 2 mile, 10-turn Summit Point Circuit. The day consists of eight separate 1-hour introductory segments during which participants will receive out-of-car instruction and one session on track (approx 30 minutes of lapping at a spirited pace.) Drivers are welcome to sign up for more than one session and enjoy as much track time as possible.
Most street or track vehicles are welcome. These events are great for first timers to get a taste of road course driving and start learning the line at good safe speeds before moving on to trackcross or FATT/HPDE/track days. Just sign up online for a particular time slot, show up a little early, check in, park in your group's line, have a quick meeting, then get on track and have fun. It actually IS this easy!

Event requirements
Eligibility: All drivers and passengers must be at least 18 years old with a valid drivers license. Passengers are ok as long as they are age 18+ with a seat belt and have signed the waiver. Each entry is for one driver + one guest/passenger. Additional guests are $10 each online via this registration page or at the track that day (cashless.)
Tech Inspection: Most street or track vehicles are welcome, tech inspection is "self tech" and those requirements can be found at this link. It is the driver's responsibility to assure safe mechanical condition of the vehicle at all times. It is strongly recommended that vehicles be thoroughly and routinely inspected by a reputable technician beforehand. Most any street legal car that would pass a Virginia state inspection or similar is ok. Convertibles are ok, some trucks and SUVs are ok - please inquire before registering. Summit Point does not currently allow electric or hybrid-electric vehicles to participate but this may change for the future, please check back.
Weather: These events will take place “Rain or Shine, Hot or Cold” but may be rescheduled or paused for more significant weather. We will reschedule one week later only for frozen weather.
Cancellation: All sales final – no cancellation, refund, or credit. An entry is transferrable to another person for this event only and must be done by noon on the Tuesday prior for a Saturday event or noon on the Wednesday prior for a Sunday event.
FAQ: These are 30min sessions of spirited touring laps between pace cars at highway speeds. Passing is not allowed. Helmets are not required. Rollbars are not required in convertibles. In-car instruction will not be provided. Sorry, you may not change or switch sessions once you register for a particular time slot. Please arrive 30-60min before the track session time you sign up for.
